B'nai B'rith Ramblers is the largest Jewish bush walking group in Victoria and affiliated with Bushwalking Victoria. Our objective is to provide on average two monthly day walks (within 1 to 1½ hours' drive from Melbourne) to members, friends and visitors who enjoy the environment and the physical exercise.
Walks offered
* Medium/Hard day walks, generally 13 - 20 km in length requiring walkers to be fit and able to ascend and descend moderate to steep inclines for prolonged periods, do moderate rock scrambling and to take what comes, especially if the walk has not been pre-walked. Walks may take place in inclement weather requiring appropriate equipment.
* Medium/Easy day walks, generally 8 - 12 km in length of up to 3 to 4 hours with moderate ups & downs that require some physical effort but demand a lower fitness level than the above. Walks may take place in inclement weather requiring appropriate equipment.
* Walks specifically tailored for families.
* Easy midweek day walks, generally 8-12 km in length of up to 2.5 - 3.5 hours with minimum ups & downs. Suitable for walkers that are available to walk mid-week in company.
In addition to the above, weekend or longer type trips intra & interstate are offered. An annual program provides dates of forthcoming walks and a regular emailed flyer provides details for all forthcoming walks.

All Walkers should carry a personal first aid kit, containing their own personal medications as well as the suggested items:

In case of a health emergency we recommend that walkers fill in and carry a personal health information form.
What To Do With The Card:
- The purpose of this form is to contain basic but critical and potentially lifesaving information. It is to be used by medical personnel in the hopefully unlikely but always possible situation where you may require urgent treatment but be unable to convey the information yourself. You may be unconscious, unable to speak or have lost your memory. Having this information could save your life or at least make it easier to treat you quickly and effectively.
What To Do With The Card:
- Put the completed card/form in a small waterproof plastic bag (a small size ‘Glad’ type snaplock bag would be ideal or an empty film canister) and carry it in an outside pocket of your backpack. That way it will be easily accessible to any helper. If we all adopt this convention he/she will always know where to look first
